      CRP { C-reactive protein }

C-Reactive Protein. Slide latex agglutination test.

WITHOUT DILUTION OF THE SAMPLE

Store at 2-8º C. For in vitro Diagnostic use only.

PRINCIPLE

The CRP Reagent is a suspension of polystirene latex particles coated with the gamma globulin fraction of anti-human CRP

Specific serum. When CRP is present in the sample, presence of agglutination indicates a content of CRP equal or greater than 6mg/L, without previous sample dilution.

Qualitative Test

1.       Before use the kit, allow the components to reach room temperature.

2.       Gently shake the reagent to disperse the latex particles.

3.       Check the reagent against the positive and negative controls (as follows).

4.       Place a drop (50 µl) of UNDILUTED serum into a circle of the side.

5.       Add a drop of the Reagent 1 (CRP Latex) next to the drop of serum.

6.       Mix both drops spreading them over the full surface of the circle.

7.       Rotate the slide, manually or with a mechanical rotor at 80-100  rpm for two minutes. Read the presence or absence of visible agglutination in this period of time. Inespecific agglutination could appear if the test is read later than two minutes.

Rheumatoid Factors. Slide latex agglutination test.

WITHOUT DILUTION OF THE SAMPLE

Store at 2-8º C. For in vitro Diagnostic use only.

PRINCIPLE

The RF Reagent is a suspension of polystyrene latex particles sensitized with specially prepared human IgG in order to avoid in specific agglutination. The RF latex reagent sensitivity has been adjusted to detect a minimum of 8 IU/mL of rheumatoid factors according with the WHO international Standard without previous sample dilution.

5.       Add a drop of the Reagent 1 (RF Latex) next to the drop of serum.
